Please plan on joining us for our annual 4th of July celebration at the historic Pasfield House Inn in Springfield. This event has become an Independence Day tradition where friends enjoy food, drink and fireworks in a casual, comfortable atmosphere.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th of July. Our cookout includes hot dogs, sweet corn, watermelon, provided by Nelson’s catering and a cash bar provided by the Pasfield House. Our host, Tony Leone, will lead house tours of the historic Pasfield House and we will have a good vantage point to view the downtown fireworks that will begin around 9:30 p.m. Also, this year we will have live music as we celebrate America in story and song.
The $20 per person cost includes food, soft drinks, live entertainment, house tours and fireworks. The parking is also free and close, right across the street in the state’s Visitor Center parking lot. All proceeds go to support your public television station, WSEC/PBS Springfield.
To reserve your spot, please call WSEC at 217/483-7887, extension 222 or 224.
The Pasfield House Inn is located at 525 S. Pasfield Street, just west of the Visitors Center on the west side of the capitol complex. Enter the Visitor Center parking lot off of Edwards Street.
