Illinois Stories Bus Tour Recap

On Thursday, May 29th, a group of about 30 travelers joined Illinois Stories host Mark McDonald and left from Quincy to visit several sites from past Illinois Stories episodes. These stops included: The Kibbe Conservation Area in Warsaw, Illinois where we explored WIU's biology work and learned about their many wildlife and nature studies, The Hamilton Threshers and the many historic buildings and tractor collection located there, lunch at The Hawkeye, the Keokuk Dam exhibition, and the Carthage jail and courthouse, rich with Mormon history.

Spring Illinois Stories Bus Tour

Join us for the Spring Illinois Stories Bus Tour on Thursday, May 29th. We'll depart from the CVS at Broadway and 30th in Quincy at 8:30 AM and will return by 5:00 PM that day. Tickets are $60, which includes transportation, tours, and lunch. Call 483-7887, and ask for MJ (ext. 222) for tickets. Call soon, as seats fill up quickly!

Illinois Stories at Garth Mansion

This week Illinois Stories visited the Garth Woodside Mansion & Estate in Hannibal, Missouri. Built in the 1800's, this home saw famous guests such as Samuel Clemens and many others. Join Mark McDonald as he and the Innkeepers explore the history and charm of this three-story historic home.
